The last book I read was Give up the Ghost. I was kinda surprised by it. Overall, I thought it was going to be a darker story but it was light and emotional. I really enjoyed it.

Please enter me in your contest. I have been dying to read this series.

The last book I read was actually Daniel X: Watch the Skies, which I loved. It was a lot like the first one, but that's okay beacuse the first one was really good. (If you're wondering why I'm entering a contest for a book I already own, it's because I don't have the entire Maximum Ride series, and I really, really want it.) ^_^

I just finished reading The Reformed Vampire Support Group and I couldn't put the book down! Not for the reason you might be thinking... I couldn't put it down because I am cursed with not being able to stop reading a book even if I hate it... I've tried but I just have to keep torturing myself until I finish it. Vampires being sickly and weak? I gave this book a chance, I swear I did but the plot was weak (like the vampires), the characters were tepid and the writing was mediocre, I can't even remember the main characters name.... It dragged on for too long.. after all the great books I've read recently...this one wasn't worth my library late fees!

Hey Sandra! You didn't leave an email for me to contact you if you win! I hope you check back on these comments because I didn't see a contact in your profile either. :(

Anyone know her and can let her know?

It's great to see so many entries and new recommendations (or warnings, lol)!

The last book I read was The Fetch by Chris Humphreys. I thought it was a really good book because it was all about runes and the legends behind them. It was written in a flashback style almost, which is really entertaining to read. My email is bookgrl999@gmail.com

The last book I read was Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson. Though it focused on some rather heavy topics, I really liked the book and thought that many teenagers could identify with the characters.

I recently read The Petite Four, which was pretty good, but kinda girly. (at least it was an adventure & mystery novel though!) It's kinda a historical fiction novel, so that's interesting but not the best book I've ever read.

but please count me in! I love this series! thanks!!!

I've been reading a lot lately. I read four books last weekend: Along for the ride, by Sarah Dessen, Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins, Perfect Chemistry by simone Elkeles, and Sundays at Tiffany's by... James Patterson.

ironic, isn't it? that i just read J.Pat. He's awesome. I loved Sundays at Tiffany's because it's about a girl who fell in love with her imaginary friend. wonderful :D

The last book I read was The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. It was on par with his other books (along the same line as The Notebook & A Walk to Remember). It was good for what it was. The last YA book I read was right before that and it was Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING!! I can't wait for the sequel (Linger) next fall.

the last book I read, huh? I guess that would be Evil? by Timothy Carter and it was great. Really fast, amusing, imaginative. I'm reading Bran Hambric by Kaleb Nation now and it's great.

Author Q & A - Jan Eldredge Stops By!

Next Wednesday y'all will be getting my oh-so-humble opinion of Evangeline of the Bayou , the Summer 2018 Kids' Indie Next List selection! (That means it was picked via booksellers at independent bookstores countrywide.) Until then, I have a Q&A with the Louisiana born and raised author herself: Jan Eldredge! (Don't forget to come back next week for my review!!) A Conversation with JAN ELDRIDGE Author of Evangeline of the Bayou 1) The glossary in the back of the book is so helpful! Where did you learn about all these creatures? Which creature from the book is your favorite? I have a small, but growing, collection of books about mythical creatures around the world. If I couldn’t find what I was looking for there, I researched library books, online websites, and the occasional documentary. Something that really surprised me as I started learning more about mythical monsters was the number of different cultures that share very similar

First Step: Admit You Have a Problem

Hi fellow Bibliophiles! I have been rather neglectful to this blog... instead continuing to stay buried in a book as I have during the holidays. I'm hopeful that most of you have been doing this too and can easily accept my apology. Have I been reading? Um, yeah! (Translation: duh.) Just haven't been able to pull myself away long enough to actually WRITE about what I'm reading. Lol. But that's me, a bibliophile, an addict, an addict who's fallen off the wagon and fully embraced her love of reading - especially with all this free time to do so!!! I've also been watching awesome holiday movies, eating yummy, but bad-for-me, food and hanging out with the people I love best! You too? I hope! ;) Anyway, I will return with a new book review next week, most likely on Monday or Tuesday. Thanks for your patience and keep reading!!!
